I have been a Pastor and Wedding Officiant since 1985. I am now retired from pastoral ministry and do this because I love being able to help people who are looking for a sweet, meaningful, legal and affordable ceremony without any of the typical headaches. I believe your wedding ceremony, the most important ceremony of your life, should be handled by someone with experience, tact, compassion, a sense of humor and an above average understanding of romance. (But, since my sweet wife may not be available, you'll just have to ask me.)
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies (Comparative Religion) from The University of Alabama. My theological training was in residence at Lexington Theological Seminary, where I received the Master of Divinity degree. I went on to earn the Doctor of Ministry degree from the Graduate Theological Foundation, through whom I attended Springhill College (Jesuit) and Foundation Fellowship at Christ Church College, Oxford University, England.
I was traditionally ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and served four churches in Alabama, Kentucky and Illinois as Pastor. I've been honored to have performed well over 2,000 wedding ceremonies and still look forward to every one!
Even so, all the degrees and experience in the world don't mean anything if the minister officiating your wedding isn't easy to work with. My only goal is to help you realize your dream ceremony and be helpful to you rather than a burden. I am dedicated to your wishes and have the years of experience necessary to make your wedding ceremony the one you have always dreamed of.
I also happen to be a Notary Public for the State of Alabama at Large should you need those services.
Bev has been an ordained wedding officiant since 2004, but has recently retired from her career as a corporate business manager and one time CEO of a nationally known company. In response to the many couples seeking an affordable, yet professional wedding officiant, Bev has decided to put her decades of public and motivational speaking experience to work and been called to service at Bama Weddings. She offers her own beaufiful, meaningful wedding ceremonies along the Gulf Coast.
Known for her upbeat, positive personality, Bev has successfully raised a wonderful family of three children and four grandchildren, all of whom will say she is the most kind, loving and forgiving grandmother around!
Even so, that isn't why you should ask Bev to officiate your wedding. You will love Bev because she is committed to getting to know you and her passion lies in designing a sweet, romantic ceremonies that you will remember.
